Everything was a blur in his eyes.
His head still aching from the hit and his heart was pounding like crazy out of fear.
He looked around and tried to figure out where he was.
Many things looked familiar and if he wasn't mistaken this place looked like a laboratory in the same building he was before he had met the woman.
The woman...he wondered where she was and what could she want with him.
He tried to move but his hands and feet were tied to a chair.
Around him tied in several chairs were some of his friends, still unconsious by the looks of it.
He could count at least seven and all of them were his closest friends.
The place was reeking of gasoline.
Somewhere below loud music could still be heard.
-Where are you? Why do you keep us here? he screamed. What do you want from us?
-Silence, or I will silence you myself.
-What do you want? Money?
-Pathetic mortals, why should everything be about money?
-Sorry, I was just...
-You were just being mortal...but not for long.
-What do you mean?
Instead of answering the woman showed him her canines.
-I am an immortal, a vampire Mr. Anageropoulos, a nocturnal hunter and tonight you and your friends are my prey.
-There are no such things as vampires, let's be serious, science has proved that...
-And how exactly can science explain that I got through a locked door and when you tried to scream no voice could leave your mouth?
-Well you are good at breaking and entering and I am sure there is a gas that stops my vocal chords from functioning.
-You have an answer for everything, don't ya? You are a scientist and you need proof right?
-Well believing something without proof would make us fools, that's why we have an organ called brain.
-You want proof? Then I will give it to you, but I am not sure you are gonna like it.
The woman stepped into the light, there was no sign of the sexy dress she wore earlier. She was now wearing a simple ceremonial white dress.
In her hands she was holding a long scimitar, carved in various cruel ways.
She reached for her backpack and took out a hand-gun.
-What are you going to do?
-You wanted proof didn't you?
-I believe you, please don't hurt anyone.
-No you don't, but you will soon.
She aimed the gun at her arm.
-No! Paul managed to shout.
The woman pulled the trigger and with a loud noise the gun fired at her arm.
Surprisingly there was no blood.
''She missed'', Anageropoulos thought
-No, I didn't miss! I never miss, especially from such a short distance.
The woman showed him the hole in her arm where the bullet had hit, but still there was no blood.
-How is that possible?
Then in an instant the hole started closing rapidly until it finally disappeared.
-Oh, come on, in the name of physics, are you trying to tell me you healed yourself instantly?
-Well the fact is that shooting my arm did hurt, but no Mr. Scientist I can't die that simply and yes I healed myself with a single thought.
-Ok, let's believe you are a vampire. What do you want? Our blood?
-No, not tonight. Tonight I came for you.
His heart started pounding faster again.
-For me? Why?
-I like playing games Mr. Anageropoulos and tonight we are playing my favorite one. I call it "Watch someone become an animal" and you and your friends are the players. There is only one rule in this game, either you or no one will leave this room alive.
-I am not going to kill my friends, you sick, twisted woman.
-You have guts, I'll give you that, but my little apprentice you have no choice. When it comes to survival instincts humans are worse than the wildest animals.
-And how do you suggest I kill my friends?
-You said it yourself, vampires need blood, more than you can imagine in fact.
-So? I'm not a vampire.
-Guess again! I am going to transform you and then your thirst will do the rest. And when your blood frenzy stops, maybe I will tell you a couple of things about what you are.
The woman started moving towards him and for the first time Paul realised she had been telling the truth all this time.
-NO! Wait there must be another way, please.
-I hate people who beg. Keep in mind tonight's lesson young one, for tomorrow you will be an immortal and us "immortals" are not humans. For us humans are merely food and pleasure. Never forget that, because if you do your eternity will become a living Hell.
-Nooooo... he screamed while he felt her teeth sinking into his neck and then...ecstasy. It was like the best orgasm he had ever had. Sure it had a bitter taste since he was growing weaker but even death seemed sweet in her deadly, yet orgasmic, embrace.
And then he died....
